Erin Yates, TMS Coordinator

Erin Yates is the TMS Coordinator at the West Coast TMS Institute.  Erin graduated with honors from Columbia University with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. Her strong interest in psychiatry stems from an extensive scientific research background and employment in the pharmaceutical industry. Her research interests include the role of glutamate in mediating cognitive disorganization in patients with schizophrenia as well as examining the perception of vocal cues in both genders. On the clinical side, Erin enjoys seeing the practical application of neuroscience here at our Institute, and finds assisting patients and their loved ones through the TMS process very rewarding. Patients can contact her to inquire about TMS in general, schedule their TMS consultations and treatments, or discuss other needs. Erin’s dedication to facilitating all the best elements of care for our patients is fundamental to their positive experiences and clinical outcomes.

Kristine Chermakyan, Certified TMS Technician

As a Psychology major, Kristine is furthering her education in the field by earning her Bachelor’s Degree at California State University, Los Angeles. As a professionally trained and Certified TMS Technician for West Coast TMS Institute, Kristine’s background also includes First Aid and CPR certifications coupled with extensive medical and communications experience as a former Program Coordination Specialist.

Along with her professional qualifications, Kristine offers a dedication to providing patients with a positive and comfortable environment as a natural element of her warm, and caring personality.

Susan McKinnon, (A.A., CPT) Certified TMS Technician

Currently a Certified TMS Technician at West Coast TMS Institute, Susan recently earned her Associates Degree in Communications from Los Angeles Valley College. She is also a licensed Certified Phlebotomy Technician with two years of training towards her R.N. license. In addition, she has First Aid and CPR training along with years of prior work experience in both hospital and outpatient clinical settings. Her health and communications background provides her with the ability to connect with patients in a positive and professional manner.

About The Area

Sherman Oaks is an urbanized neighborhood located in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, California. The city of Sherman Oaks is adjacent to Encino, Tarzana, Studio City, Van Nuys and many other communities. Because the neighborhood is centrally located at the junction of the 405 and 101 freeways, as well as in close proximity to Beverly Glen, it is easy to commute to our center from locations in the Greater Los Angeles area such as Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Hollywood, West Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
